A well-known international manufacturing printing ink company is seeking a qualified Financial and Administrative Manager to report directly to the CEO. The role involves managing and overseeing all financial and administrative functions of the company, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A tertiary qualification in BComm finance, accounting, or a related field is essential.
- CA or CIMA qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
- An MBA qualification will be advantageous.
- Previous experience in a financial management role within a manufacturing company, preferably in chemical or related industries, is preferred.
- Experience working with SAP or similar systems is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in MS Excel are required.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of accounting processing and financial reporting systems.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and data management skills.
- Extensive experience in budgeting and cash flow management.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing all financial and administrative functions to ensure compliance and adherence to laws and regulations.
- Handling day-to-day bookkeeping, monthly closing, group reporting, MIS, statutory audits, and local tax compliance.
- Assisting the board with administrative matters and external commercial interactions.
- Analyzing and presenting monthly financial reports internationally.
- Conducting variance analysis against forecasts and budgets.
- Overseeing month-end closing, year-end audits, and preparing annual financial statements.
- Managing cash flow, debtors, creditors, and insurance matters.
- Implementing business growth strategies.
- Chairing HR interventions and disciplinary inquiries.
- Drafting company policies and commercial agreements.
- Preparing annual budgets and reviewing payroll, PAYE, VAT, and tax submissions.
- Handling workplace skills plans and levies.
- Overseeing IT functions and legal matters.
- Preparing tender applications and commercial negotiations.
- Managing internal and external communications.
- Overseeing inventory transactions and inter-company reconciliations.
- Managing product costing and profitability analysis.
