Job description

SUMMARY :

DBN000080 – FINANCE MANAGER – CPT

Purpose of the Job :

To manage an online gaming business’s financial health, stability, and growth by effectively managing resources, adhering to regulations, and making informed financial decisions.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree / CA (SA)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sports betting environment – Not negotiable
  • Experience in drafting and preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Experience in preparation of financial statements
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting system

POSITION INFO :

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Full financial accounting function for the sports betting operations using Xero account software including but not limited to :
  2. a.) Supplier account management
  3. b.) Maintenance of Bank Accounts and Mobile Monies Accounts and performing bank reconciliation
  4. Assist with the daily, monthly and year-end processes.
  5. Management of operating expenses, reconciliations, and submissions.
  6. Processing accounts i.e. general ledger with full month end accounting process and reconciliations;
  7. Preparation of tax packs and submissions.
  8. Assist with regulatory compliance and submission of reports to Regulatory bodies, Tax filings and ensure up to date.
  9. Liaise with auditors in performing year end audit and preparation of AFS.
  10. Liaising with different stakeholders within the business, including but not limited to betting software providers, office managers, bankers.
  11. Assist with payroll management and administration.
