Duties & Responsibilities

This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of financial processes, focusing on day-to-day management while also contributing to broader financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee daily financial operations, including management of creditors, debtors, tax, and cash flow to ensure optimal financial health.
  2. Lead a skilled finance team of 8, providing guidance and support in their respective areas of expertise.
  3. Conduct thorough financial reporting and prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  4. Implement rigorous budgeting processes and financial planning to support project feasibility and overall corporate strategy.
  5. Play a key role in the strategic financial decisions of the company, including capital raising and asset management, ensuring alignment with long-term goals.
  6. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, particularly relevant to listed companies, including transparency and accountability in all financial disclosures.
Requirements:
  1. Newly Qualified CA (max 2 years post-articles)
  2. Proven experience in financial management, particularly within infrastructure, renewable energy, agriculture, or telecommunication sectors.
  3. Strong expertise in asset management, capital raising, and financial strategy (Advantageous).
  4. Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team (Advantageous).
  5. Demonstrated ability in fostering relationships with venture capital firms and managing complex financial projects.
  6. Strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a forward-looking approach to financial planning and risk management.
  7. Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans).
