Duties & Responsibilities
- Environment: Oversee financial accounts by tracking and reporting on transactions. Supervise and guide the Finance team by setting KPIs, managed through one-on-one meetings.
- Seek continuous improvements in cashbook, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP) systems and processes.
- Handle project work and ad hoc tasks as required.
- Assist with Annual Audits and the preparation of Annual Financial Statements.
Duties:
- Analyze the company's age analysis throughout the month.
- Manage the entire Finance team.
- Review all reconciliations for payments submitted by the Junior Financial Accountant before final sign-off.
- Source suppliers and identify cost savings.
- Reconcile suppliers and prepare payments as needed.
- Load payments into the bank system and verify banking details.
- Assist in obtaining BEE Certification details and track expenditure.
- Reconcile and verify credit card statements.
- Prepare for audits.
- Manage intercompany schedules and confirmations within the group.
- Process and approve journals.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and assist with budgeting.
- Ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
- Post-Graduate Finance Degree.
- CA(SA) qualification preferred.
- At least 3 years of financial accounting and management experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing or leading a finance team.
- Experience with Pastel Evolution (preferable).
- Knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Understanding of financial risk factors.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
