Job summary

Flash, part of Pepkor, seeks a Financial Manager - Automation in Western Cape, ZA. The role blends financial analysis and deep technical knowledge to automate business processes and build advanced data models that drive growth and efficiency.

You will become an Anaplan model builder, design production-ready finance solutions, and bridge Finance and Tech to deliver automated recon, reporting, and governance across the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Become an Anaplan Model builder and help build out FP&A processes on the platform.
• Assist finance in moving from manual to automated processing.
• Identify bottlenecks in finance workflows and address them.
• Assist in ERP implementation and feature enhancements.
• Build out financial reporting models.
• Deep dive into finance operations to identify automation opportunities.
• Drive process improvements by integrating financial, business, and technical insights.
• Design and implement interim and productionised solutions.
• Be the liaison between Finance and Tech on technical builds.
• Own project implementations from inception to user adoption and full operation.

What you’ll own

• Become an Anaplan Model builder and help build out the FP&A process on the platform
• Assist finance in going from manual to automated processing.
• Identify and address bottle necks in the finance workflows
• Assist in the process of ERP implementation and feature enhancements
• Build out financial reporting models
• Deep dive into finance operations to understand, analyze, and identify areas for automation.
• Drive process improvements by integrating financial, business, and technical insights.
• Design and implement both interim and fully productionised solutions
• Be the liaison between Finance department and Tech department on technical builds
• Own project implementations from inception to user adoption and full operational use
• Research, source and cost the use of outsourcing where necessary
• Management expectations and have regular update meetings
• Ensure high quality of all project outcomes before the completed product is presented to the end user
• Improving/automating of finance recon and reports and processes for finance team to use
• Being a data custodian for finance and divisional reports
