Position: Financial Manager

We're looking for a Financial Manager with the skills, competence, and experience to strengthen our value proposition. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare accurate, comprehensive, and timely management accounts, budgets/forecasts, and annual financial statements.
  2. Ensure compliance with internal processes, controls, accounting standards, statutory audits, and good codes of practice.
  3. Ensure tax compliance and liaise with tax authorities on related matters.
  4. Provide advice on administrative, accounting, tax, computer systems, and procedures to management and staff.
  5. Monitor cash flow, debtors, and investment performance, and advise or take corrective actions as needed.
  6. Manage the Finance Department (10 staff), including performance management, training, and development.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Registered Chartered Accountant with at least 7 years of experience, including 3 years in a managerial role within a commercial environment.
  2. Experience dealing with multiple operating locations in South Africa and possibly in jurisdictions such as Mozambique, Namibia, or Ghana.
  3. Strong understanding of financial principles, IAS, and IFRS developments.
  4. Ability to work under pressure independently and within a team, demonstrating proactiveness and assertiveness.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  6. Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and make decisions to meet client needs.
