DESCRIPTION/SYNOPSIS:
Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our dynamic team in the mining sector. The ideal candidate will lead a team of finance professionals and drive the organisation's financial success by ensuring compliance, accuracy, and innovation in all financial operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- CA(SA) highly advantageous.
- At least 5 years post-article experience within a mining, manufacturing, or similar industry.
- Experience in implementing new systems, particularly SAGE / ERP solutions, is advantageous.
- Excellent staff management and leadership skills, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a finance team of 10-15 members, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with organisational goals.
- Oversee monthly management reporting for two business segments, including six legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial insights.
- Prepare and review annual financial statements, serving as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Contribute to ERP system implementation, overseeing the transition to the new system.
- Manage liquidity and cash flow effectively.
- Review and approve payment schedules.
- Oversee cost allocations, ensuring accuracy.
- Supervise customer invoicing processes for timely and accurate billing.
- Manage SARS submissions, including VAT, income tax, PAYE, and other statutory requirements, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Review payroll processes.
- Support external financing applications with necessary financial data and insights.
- Undertake other responsibilities as required, consistent with the role of a finance manager.
