Job Description: Financial Manager

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Financial Manager.
  • Matric certification.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience as a company bookkeeper or financial manager.
  • Proficiency in financial software programs.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn AS1.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee the Debtors Book and coordinate with third-party service providers.
  2. Manage and oversee all creditors.
  3. Ensure accuracy of payments and allocations on the AS1 system.
  4. Ensure all monthly expenditures align with the budget.
  5. Prepare the company's monthly financial statements (cash flow, income statement, balance sheets).
  6. Manage payroll and leave administration.
  7. Handle monthly financial close-offs.
  8. Manage bank reconciliations, petty cash, credit cards, and other financial instruments.
  9. Ensure all financial controls are in place and effective.
  10. Manage SARS and VAT compliance and payments.
  11. Oversee company assets and maintain registers.
  12. Liaise with suppliers, auditors, banks, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters.
  13. Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports.
  14. Manage BEE administration and compliance.
  15. Coordinate with the company auditor.
  16. Communicate with the company bank.
  17. Propose and evaluate measures to reduce costs and improve financial efficiency.
  18. Contribute strategic input to the business.
  19. Respond to financial queries and requests promptly and accurately.
