Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Manager to oversee financial operations for our abattoir and farm operations. The successful candidate will manage various financial functions, including debtors and creditors, treasury, and intercompany reconciliations, while driving process improvements and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

POSITION INFO :

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Debtors & Creditors Management: Oversee the management of accounts receivable and payable.
  2. Treasury Function: Manage cash flow, relationships, and treasury operations.
  3. Reconciliations: Handle intercompany loans reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  4. Exports Accounting: Manage exports accounting and forward exchange contracts (FEC).
  5. Insurance: Oversee insurance policies and claims.
  6. Process Improvement: Enhance financial processes and controls.
  7. Documentation: Document critical financial processes and conduct self-audits.
  8. Provisions & Accruals: Manage provisions, accruals, and prepare annual budgets.
  9. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management results, financial statements, and audit documents.
  10. Fixed Assets: Manage the fixed asset register.
  11. Support: Assist with additional requests, projects, and responsibilities.

Requirements :

  1. Qualifications: (SA) is essential.
  2. Experience: 2-3 years of commercial experience; related work experience is advantageous.
  3. Skills: Strong accounting skills and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Efficient, organized, and accurate with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Hardworking with a willingness to go the extra mile. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Additional: Reliable own transport is required.
