Job summary

The Talent Room is seeking an experienced Financial Manager for a leading automotive dealership to own the full financial function. You will prepare monthly management accounts, oversee ledgers, and manage month-end and year-end closes, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting.

You will monitor profitability, deliver financial analysis to management, ensure VAT and SARS compliance, and coordinate annual financial statements with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Management.
• Professional registration (SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA, or similar) will be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Financial Manager or Senior Accountant role within the automotive dealership industry.
• Proven experience working on Autoline DMS is essential.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles, VAT, and SARS legislation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, financial reporting, and leadership skills.

• Ensure accurate processing and reconciliation of debtors, creditors, bank accounts, and cashbooks.
• Manage vehicle floorplan financing and stock reconciliations.
• Oversee vehicle stock controls and inventory reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate VAT calculations and submissions.
• Manage PAYE, UIF, SDL, and other statutory submissions.
• Ensure compliance with SARS, IFRS, company policies, and financial regulations.
• Prepare annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
• Monitor internal controls and implement process improvements where required.
