Job description

Financial Manager position available in Randfontein.

A national distributor servicing the mining, agricultural, industrial, and automotive sectors is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join their team. With branches across South Africa and a reputation for consistent growth and reliability, this business combines strong operational values with a performance-driven culture.

This is a hands-on finance leadership role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where you’re trusted to lead, make decisions, and drive financial efficiency. You’ll work closely with operations and sales teams while managing a full-function finance department across multiple branches.

Salary: R75 000 – R90 000 per month, based on experience.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A senior finance professional who takes ownership and leads from the front.
  • Someone confident in managing both strategy and detail, from cash flow to compliance.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to guide, support, and challenge where needed.
  • Experience in distribution or import-heavy environments is advantageous.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., BCom, BAcc)
  • 10+ years of experience in financial management roles.
  • Strong understanding of operational finance, imports, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Effective leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle to travel between branches as needed.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the West Rand.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full financial operations across multiple branches
  • Ensure all reporting deadlines and compliance requirements are consistently met
  • Collaborate closely with sales and internal teams to support operational goals.
  • Develop and manage cash flow forecasts and financial projections.
  • Handle VAT, PAYE, provisional tax calculations, and submissions.
  • Manage forex deal bookings, payments, and reconciliation.
  • Prepare year-end statements and liaise with auditors.
  • Lead, support, and mentor both junior and senior finance staff.
  • Visit branches as required for month-end close or operational reviews.
