Job summary

Wesbank, Johannesburg, seeks a Financial Manager to oversee financial management, reporting, analysis and governance of direct costs and acquisition expenses across the Life business. You will ensure accurate reporting, cost optimization, budgeting control and regulatory compliance.

You will partner with stakeholders to drive cost accountability and deliver dashboards and timely financial insights for decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years in financial management or business partnering.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.
• Experience in financial services or insurance advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor direct costs at departmental level and acquisition costs by channel.
• Review monthly cost performance and provide variance analysis vs budget/forecast.
• Ensure accurate accounting, accruals, allocations and financial reporting.
• Track acquisition cost trends and provide insights on cost efficiency and profitability.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with stakeholders.
• Develop cost monitoring dashboards and management reports.
