Are you a seasoned Financial Manager with over 15 years of experience in the construction engineering industry? Are you ready to take on a high-impact role with strategic visibility and influence?

Our client, a prominent player in the construction engineering space, is looking for a financial heavyweight to partner with EXCO and support the CFO in driving financial strategy, operational performance, and sustainable growth.

Your key responsibilities:

• Work closely with the CFO and participate in EXCO to influence strategic decision-making
• Lead and manage the full financial function including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting
• Oversee project cost controls, contract financials, and revenue recognition in line with IFRS
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management, providing insights to support strategic decision-making
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage external audits
• Provide financial modelling and insights to support major infrastructure and engineering projects
• Mentor and lead a high-performance finance team
• Verify and approve all payroll transactions prior to finalisation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies and statutory requirements

Our required expert:

• BCom Accounting/Finance (Honours) | CA(SA) or CIMA qualification
• 15+ years' financial management experience, with a minimum of 10 years in the construction or engineering sector
• In-depth knowledge of King IV governance principles and IFRS standards is essential
• Proven track record of working at a strategic level and engaging with executive stakeholders
• Deep understanding of project-based financial management and large-scale contract frameworks (FIDIC, JBCC)
• Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency (Proman, SAGE payroll, SAP Ariba, and Coupa)
