Financial Manager

Retail Stores Manager Salary: R40.00 - R60.00

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage all GP Stores as General Manager, with responsibilities spanning multiple locations.
2. Oversee repairs and maintenance of stores.
3. Interview candidates for potential store employees.
4. Sign contracts with new staff members and issue warnings when necessary.
5. Resolve issues with managers and staff.
6. Calculate commissions and arrange for supplier training on new or existing product ranges.
7. Implement systems to improve store operations.
8. Build and maintain a client database for back orders and stock management.
9. Liaise with the Marketing department regarding event attendance, marketing strategies, and online/social media promotions.
10. Ensure all staff are familiar with company procedures and policies.
11. Coordinate repairs for products such as clothing, watches, sunglasses, etc.
12. Monitor communication groups for staff compliance with company policies.
13. Require store managers to report monthly checklists on store issues and ensure timely resolution.
14. Ensure contractors comply with company standards, oversee billing, and hold contractors accountable for their work.
15. Hold managers accountable for stock takes, requisitions, IBTs, and accurate pricing.
16. Ensure regular stock takes, daily cycle counts, and monthly stock aging and fulfillment reports.
17. Conduct weekly spot checks to audit actual counts.
18. Set and monitor financial year budgets linked to individual stores and sales teams.
19. Support sales team in achieving targets and report any challenges to management.
20. Train staff in products, selling techniques, and processes.
21. Handle customer queries, stock requests, and complaints promptly.
22. Authorize store discounts beyond system defaults when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Pastel Evolution (must).
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and retail hours.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Experience in sales of exclusive brands.
