Qualifications / Requirements:
  1. B.Com Degree/similar essential, coupled with Articles (highly advantageous)
  2. Professional registration i.e. SAIPA, CIMA highly advantageous
  3. Experience within the Building/Construction industry, highly advantageous
  4. Suitable candidate needs to be extremely deadline driven, resilient, professional, solutions wizard, with an entrepreneurial mindset
  5. Understand all relevant regulations and legislation
Key Performance Areas:
  1. Ensure that the full accounting function is performed monthly
  2. Manage and control Plant and Procurement processes
  3. Manage and oversee the IT function
  4. Manage payroll and ensure that it is processed, costed and paid timeously
  5. Compile and report on the region's yearly Financial Budget
  6. Manage the capital budgeting process (CAPEX)
  7. Manage and identify risk
  8. Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas
  9. Collate, analyse and summarise data and trends to produce high value management information that supports strategic decision-making
  10. Act as an expert advisor and provide astute recommendations to management
  11. Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction
  12. Interpret and translate the region’s financial results to management and recommend improvements
  13. Ensure that all statutory returns are calculated and submitted timeously (CIDB, BBBEE, FEM, SARS etc.)
  14. Ensure financial regulatory compliance
  15. Function as the Companies transformation manager (BBBEE Champion)
  16. Ensure that month, quarterly and year end function is performed, and region is prepped for both internal and external quarterly and annual audits
  17. Facilitate and adhere to internal and 3rd party audits (SARS)
  18. Ensure audit recommendations are addressed and implemented
  19. Produce monthly, quarterly and yearly management reports for regional and Head office
  20. Manage and compile internal and external plant hire reporting
  21. Ensure team performance contributes to positive customer experience and customer satisfaction metrics
