Job description

Our client, a reputable and well established construction company, focused on medium to large scale building projects, seeks to employ a Financial Manager, with a strong background in the construction or similar sector, to join this progressive and expanding professional team in Cape Town.

Please note that this role is not suited to candidates from a commercial background but geared toward a candidate who has worked in the construction, property development or civils sector.
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • You will have a BComm/Honours in Accounting or similar qualification in Finance, coupled with a professional registration with CIMA, SAIPA, or related and 5 plus years experience in financial management within a strong technical sector, with preference to those from the construction or property development sector
  • Your working experience will include equipment, materials and resource costing, as well as knowledge of commercial, King’s Commission Law and contractual law and reporting
  • In addition, you will have expert working experience in taxation, VAT, insurance, auditing, balance sheet analysis, costing and union/bargaining council negotiations.
  • You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
