Job description

Require the services of a suitably qualified Financial Manager with a B.COM or similar qualification, preferably with experience in PASTEL (or any other accounting package) and advanced Excel skills. This person will be supported by bookkeepers as well as Creditors / Debtors clerks.

POSITION INFO :

The following will be expected from the FM :

  • Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and CEO
  • Managing multi-company reporting for an average of 13 entities
  • Reconciliation of intercompany loan accounts
  • Reviewing agreements for financial implications and diarising key dates
  • Drafting standard agreements such as Sale and Lease Agreements
  • Gathering and compiling development information for financing applications
  • Liaising with banks regarding financial queries
  • FICA compliance for multiple entities
  • Reconciliation of various Bond Accounts
  • Updating and reporting on the company's financial exposure
  • Reviewing and submitting VAT reconciliations to SARS for multiple entities
  • Liaising with SARS auditors regarding VAT refund audits
  • Review and submission of Provisional TAX
  • Tax planning and review for income tax for multiple entities
  • Arranging and managing annual audits for multiple entities
  • Preparing audit files for auditors of multiple entities
  • Reviewing annual financial statements of multiple entities
  • Monthly review of general ledger, bank reconciliations, and VAT reports
  • Cash flow forecasting and variance analysis
  • Generating and reviewing management accounts for multiple entities
  • Statutory reporting to CIPC
  • Representing the company at AGMs of developments
  • Reviewing monthly payroll
  • Creating business models for new companies (property management, investors club)
  • Project planning and analysis of business models
  • Reviewing and authorising all payments on online banking platforms
  • Reviewing income and expense reports for development projects
  • Managing project financials, feasibility studies, and budgets
  • Liaising with transfer and bond attorneys regarding property purchases
  • Creating monthly debit orders on bank platforms
  • Reviewing, amending, and creating Standard Operating Procedures
  • Managing a staff of 10 employees
  • Performing any ad hoc duties as required
