Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Manager responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing and reporting financial and management information. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the preparation of financial accounts, working capital, maintenance of financial records, and managing finances for all central Business Units.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements including tax laws, financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Audit Management: Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within shared services to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and financial plans in collaboration with department heads.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including auditors, regulatory bodies and senior management.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensuring robust controls are in place.
  • Bookkeeping: Oversee the bookkeeping function, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers and reconciling accounts.
  • Creditors Management: Manage the creditors function including processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and handling any discrepancies or disputes.
