We’re seeking a strategic Financial Manager who is comfortable in both the boardroom and operational settings—someone capable of leading with insight, inspiring innovation, and delivering results with discipline.

About the Role

As one of three Financial Managers in a major logistics division (part of a top-tier SA group), you will be responsible for steering financial strategy across a portfolio of approximately 500–600 staff, covering ocean freight, air, customs, and forwarding. This role requires more than technical expertise—it demands a hands-on leader who can elevate teams, drive digitization, and embed finance into operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of around 40 finance professionals, fostering growth and capacity
• Own strategic financial planning, budgeting, and scenario modelling across regions
• Champion financial systems optimization and data-driven reporting (Power BI, ERP, Cargowise)
• Strengthen governance, audit readiness, and ISO-aligned compliance controls
• Partner with EXCO and operations to provide insights, support pricing strategies, and optimize costs
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, including FX exposure and working capital cycles
• Integrate financial considerations into tenders, procurement, and service innovation
