Financial Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage project bookkeeping including cashbook processing and journals.
2. Ensure preparation of bank reconciliations and reviews.
3. Provide oversight and compliance on project debit cards, staff debtors, and expense claims.
4. Provide financial management support to programme directors.
5. Review and release electronic payments and transfers.
6. Manage completeness and accuracy of the fixed asset register.
7. Manage overall responsibility of the financial management / trial balance as allocated.
8. Ensure accurate accounting for VAT.
9. Manage overall responsibility for the preparation and execution of all funds related audits.
10. Assist with preparation and execution of statutory audits.
11. Manage and ensure adequate cash-flow management.
12. Manage and ensure loan account and inter account transfers are done.
13. Manage all monthly expense claims and financial reporting are prepared and submitted on time.
14. Ensure all reports are reconciled to the underlying financial system.
15. Maintain and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
16. Ensure high level plans are communicated and assigned to the team.
17. Engage in the performance review process.
