Job description

Client's Industry : Family Trust Business

Working Hours : Monday to Friday : 9am - 6pm UK time

Salary Range : Hourly / Part time rate at first and then full-time (Up to 2,500 USD - depends on experience and result of interview)

About the Role :

We’re looking for a young, hungry, and flexible Financial Analyst who thrives in environments where data is imperfect and deal flow is dynamic. This role is ideally suited to someone with strong analytical instincts and a passion for understanding what makes small businesses succeed.

This will start as a part-time / hourly engagement due to variable weekly volume (0–10 opportunities / week), with the potential to grow into a more consistent or full-time role based on performance and deal activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze historical financials from private companies with limited documentation
  • Normalize earnings and cash flow to evaluate business viability and downside risks
  • Build and maintain financial models and forecasts based on minimal inputs
  • Conduct desktop-level due diligence and identify red flags
  • Assess and compare businesses across industries and regions (US, Europe, LATAM)
  • Present concise insights and recommendations to the investment team and board
  • Support deal sourcing with financial vetting and pipeline prioritization

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 2–5 years’ experience in financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, search funds, or M&A — with a strong focus on small business deal work
  • Comfortable with imperfect or inconsistent data , and able to make logical assumptions
  • Highly analytical, opinionated, and able to work independently
  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, EBITDA normalization, and cash flow forecasting
  • Strong presentation and communication skills — can explain insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Must be able to work European hours, including a weekly check-in every Friday at 6 PM Paris time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on businesses with $750K–$5M EBITDA
  • Exposure to private, founder-led, or family-owned businesses
  • Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable (for Latin American opportunities)
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA / CFA a plus, not required)
