What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced and talented
Financial Executive to join our Rolfes Agri team. He/she should have knowledge on the overall financial aspects of the business and ensure regulatory compliance. Lead and drive the company's financial strategy and planning. Responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investment. Must be fluent in
English and Afrikaans (will be advantageous).
What do we expect from the candidate?
The candidate must have worked in a similar role. Financial acumen, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards. Leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts for the relevant statutory entities in compliance with IFRIS, relevant statutory requirements and Rolfes Group requirements.
- Reviewing and submission of VAT returns.
- Review and submission of tax returns.
- Cash-flow forecasting and management.
- Prepare Tax pack on a monthly basis.
- Prepare annual financial statements in compliance with IFRIS and Rolfes Group requirements.
- Preparation and submission of various standing reports and other reports as required from time to time.
- Preparation of budgets and monthly monitoring of the same.
- Overseeing all general ledger reconciliations and monthly provisions.
- Review and approve payments and keep record thereof.
- Management of foreign exchanges processes and risks in line with Rolfes Groups policies and directives.
- Execution of BBBEE initiatives and preparation of the file for audit.
- Preparation and Maintenance of fixed assets registers.
- Close involvement in inventory management including regular stock counts.
- Main company contact for external audits and related processes.
- Liaison with auditors, business advisers, the group and bankers.
- Attend and report at various operational meetings including subsidiary board meetings.
- Promote and adhere to the Rolfes culture and values.
- Responsibilities are not limited to the above but includes all aspects relating to operational financial management.
If you possess…
Must-Have
- Matric (Grade 12) plus relevant tertiary qualification and a registered CA(SA) or equivalent.
- At least 5+ years of experience in an Operational Financial Management role.
- Proven ability to liaise with statutory departments e.g. SARS.
- Ability to guide the company towards long-term financial health, profitability and success.
- Good computer skills.
- Proven report writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Team leader/player.
- Ability to set targets, motivate and inspire staff to achieve targets.
- Ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure.
- Self-motivated.
- Personal integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent time management skills
