Out client based in Johannesburg is seeking a dynamic and experienced Programme Manager to lead and grow their Financial Markets Academy . This role can be tailored as either part-time or full-time, offering flexibility while still providing the opportunity to drive strategy, develop training material, lead a small team, and guide learners through a unique educational journey.

About the Role

As Programme Manager, you’ll provide strategic oversight of all financial markets training programmes while engaging with key stakeholders such as the JSE, SAIFM, and major banks. You'll ensure the content remains relevant, aligned with QCTO guidelines and industry demands, and help maintain strong links to employers and regulators. You will also mentor students, facilitate training sessions, and lead a passionate team of facilitators, administrators, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen partnerships with financial institutions, industry bodies, and academic institutions.
  • Oversee curriculum alignment with QCTO guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Manage and mentor academy staff and junior facilitators.
  • Facilitate selected training modules, providing real-world context and insight.
  • Support student development through coaching and work-integrated learning opportunities.
  • Lead operational planning and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in finance, banking, or a related field.
  • Deep experience in the financial markets or banking sector , with prior leadership or departmental oversight.
  • Recently retired (or semi-retired) with a strong desire to contribute meaningfully to youth development and education .
  • A collaborative leader who can work with diverse stakeholders and champion the mission of the academy.
  • Familiarity with QCTO-aligned qualifications and / or SAIFM content is advantageous.
