Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Director, located in Midrand (currently in Waverley but in process of moving to Midrand by Jan'26). The Financial Director will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, budget management, forecasting and financial reporting. This includes developing strategic financial plans, coordinating accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and managing the financial risks of the company. The role also involves financial audits, providing financial insights to the executive team, and supporting overall strategic business growth.

Qualifications
  • CA (SA) (required)
  • Relevant post-graduate business / financial degree (e.g. MBA, CFA, etc.) (beneficial)
  • 12–18 years’ senior Finance leadership experience, including ≥3 years as Financial Director/CFO in a high-growth or complex organisation (material scale and complexity)
  • Strong financial acumen encompassing advanced accounting principles and standards (IFRS, revenue recognition, leases). board-quality financial reporting and forecasting; driver-based planning and rolling forecasts, deep knowledge of a relevant ERP system, advanced quantitative and financial modelling (valuation, scenario analysis, etc.), capital allocation and structuring; fundraising across debt/equity; treasury, liquidity and covenant management, tax and regulatory knowledge
  • Proven ability to provide visionary, board-level financial leadership that shapes strategy and long-term value creation
  • Business and commercial acumen, including a sound grasp of market and economic trends impacting the business environment
  • Comprehensive financial risk management skills encompassing the regulatory, governance, risk and compliance landscape
  • Exceptional board and investor relations communication; clear, decision-oriented narratives and materials
