The Financial Data Analyst will partner with the business to provide financial expertise and advice, and develop processes that enhance financial service delivery.
About the Role:
We seek a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Financial Data Analyst with a strong accounting background and solid Python skills.
This hybrid role suits someone who enjoys working with numbers, automating financial processes, and uncovering insights through data.
Key Responsibilities:

• Automate financial reporting, reconciliations, and data validation using Python.
• Analyze large financial datasets to support decision-making.
• Develop dashboards and tools to streamline accounting workflows.
• Collaborate with finance and IT teams to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; qualified CA(SA) advantageous.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Bonus: Experience with SQL, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.

Accounting Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and bank-specific regulatory reporting requirements.
• Proven experience in auditing, tax compliance, financial planning, and analysis.

Data & Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.
• Strong coding skills in Python are essential.
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
• Familiarity with database management and data transformation tools (e.g., ETL processes).
