Job description

Financial Controller

Our client, a global transport and logistics company, is seeking a Financial Controller to support the Manager, Financial Analyst with reporting and analyzing revenue figures within the Road Division.

Responsibilities
  1. Review daily revenue dashboards and distribute to relevant teams.
  2. Assist in preparing forecasts and budget files.
  3. Report on and follow up on aged Work in Progress (WIP) with branches.
  4. Review revenue and comment on deviations from budgets and previous periods.
  5. Prepare Revenue Trend Analyses.
  6. Close the TMS System.
  7. Reconcile billing systems (TMS) with the financial system (SAP).
  8. Prepare revenue journals.
  9. Drive improvements in net working capital by ensuring timely billing.
  10. Validate customer rates regularly.
  11. Report on client volume.
  12. Participate in revenue audits regularly.
  13. Report internal revenue and allocate to branches.
  14. Generate profitability reports.
  15. Prepare client ROIC and monitor client performance.
  16. Assist in preparing sales commission reports.
  17. Support external auditors with revenue-related inquiries.
  18. Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proficient in medium to advanced Excel skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in accounts and revenue environment.
  • Process-oriented with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of revenue streams and recognition.
  • Broad knowledge of financial controlling and reporting.
  • Valid, unendorsed driver's license.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Willing to work overtime when necessary.
  • Self-motivated with initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
