My client, a prestigious private game reserve located in the heart of Limpopo, is dedicated to providing exceptional wildlife experiences and conservation efforts. They are urgently seeking a formally qualified Financial Assistant to manage and oversee the day-to-day financial responsibilities for their shareblock on the reserve. If you are passionate about nature and conservation, we invite you to join their dynamic team.

Qualifications and Experience Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar financial role
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in the conservation sector is a plus

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the shareblock
  • Process payroll and manage staff benefits, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with financial regulations and governance standards
  • Prepare financial reports and present findings to management
  • Debtors : Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and follow-up on overdue accounts
  • Creditors : Handle accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices and maintaining good relationships with suppliers
  • Banking : Manage all banking activities, including reconciliations and cash flow management
  • Cash Book : Maintain accurate cash book records and perform regular reconciliations
  • Stock Control : Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate stock records
  • Asset Register : Maintain and update the asset register, ensuring all assets are accounted for and properly documented
  • Depreciation : Calculate and record depreciation for all assets
  • Insurance : Manage insurance policies and ensure adequate coverage for all assets and liabilities
  • Value Added Tax (VAT) : Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time
  • IRP5 Documents : Prepare and submit IRP5 documents for all employees
  • Annual Audit : Assist with preparation for the annual audit and provide necessary documentation to auditors
  • Member Files : Maintain and update member files, ensuring all information is accurate and current
  • Staff Uniforms : Manage procurement and distribution of staff uniforms
