Job description

Our client in the manufacturing industry are currently seeking the skills of a Financial Controller-Financial Accounting and Reporting to be based in Roodepoort, Gauteng

Main job function

• Strategically manage and lead the financial accounting team in terms of taxation, payroll, consolidations and financial accounting practices.
• Managing the full financial accounting process of the company, holding company and subsidiaries
• Optimise structure to implement financial control strategies and action plans to ensure qualitative outputs
• Continuously improve and maintain reporting standards
• Managing financial planning process of the company
• Participating in strategic planning
• Facilitating management of the company taxation function and ensuring statutory compliance
• Managing the payroll function
• Managing the short term liquidity and treasury
• Providing financial advice and consulting

Qualifications

Qualified CA (SA), Member of SAICA required

Criteria

• 8 years’ experience with 2 years at senior management level
• Knowledge of the various business units and experience of SAP would be an advantage
• Extensive knowledge of international financial reporting standards, company tax, PAYE, VAT
• Full responsibility of financial accounting department and management of professional financial staff in a corporate environment.
• High general business acumen
• Intense knowledge of SAP for modules FI(Finance), CO (Costing), FA (Fixed Assets), MM (Material Management), Payroll, HR (Human Resources) and PA (Profitability Analysis).
• Intense knowledge of banking, treasury and foreign exchange environment
• Intense knowledge of international Financial Reporting Standards
• Intense knowledge of Company Tax, PAYE and VAT
• Expert problem solving and analytical skills
• Good interpersonal and influencing skills
• Good communication skills to interact with top management level
