Job description
Scope and General Purpose of the Job: Leading and Running of the Accounting function of the company and its subsidiary in Africa including financial reporting, excluding Credit Management and Treasury. The general purpose of the Controller / Accountant is to oversee the internal control environment and ensure compliance in all areas of the business, as well as some accounting and finance functions, in alignment with local and group requirements.
Providing insight into the potential improvement opportunities in the internal control environment after documenting all current business processes including new ERP impacts. Play an essential role in supporting the Finance Manager to ensure risk management is at an acceptable level throughout the business. Be the "Super user" for Finance with the ERP system implemented - (Microsoft Business Central). The incumbent's job purpose is not limited to the above mentioned.
Requirements Essential For This Position
MS BC Dynamics experience preferred
Accountancy skills including fully integrated accounting ERP system
Computer Skills: Microsoft office suite preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication Skills
Time management skills
Numerical skills / Reconciliation skills
Analytical skills
Organizing & Planning skills
Education And Qualifications
Articles - completed at Top / Medium firm
At least 2 years relevant experience
Formal qualifications: Accounting Honors
Dynamic CA preferred
Experience Needed
Multi-national company / International Group and its requirements as well as cross-border experience would be an added advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills, as well as a sound understanding of logistics (imports and exports), compliance, risk management and IFRS.
Organizational skills and attention to detail are important in this role.
Understanding of exchange control requirements and cross-border transactions between many different countries.
Understanding of internal control risks.
Ability to work independently.
Accurate and Attention to detail.

CURRENT: Company offers hybrid working conditions but this may change and staff will be required to work full time at the offices in Edenvale.
