The Role, Responsibilities, Qualifications & Requirements

The Business & Projects Financial Controller role is a hands-on position key to the effective and compliant set up of our business and project financial processes and internal controls, as well as the running of our operations and funds related to the same.

The role will suit an entrepreneurial self-starter with a proven track record in business and project finance and control, compliance, treasury, tax, administrative and office management. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with solid general ledger and management reporting understanding and capability.

Broad exposure across the fund management industry will be advantageous. The position is responsible to the Directors but works with all staff and external advisers such as accountants, auditors, fund administrators, custodians, and consultants.

Whilst the business has excellent prospects, it is still young, and as such the candidate will be expected to develop, document and implement relevant systems, processes and procedures to ensure compliance, facilitate business and project control, and encourage effective traction and rapid scale. The ability to build teams from scratch as well as empower and develop them is therefore essential, and a demonstrable track record of this will hold a candidate in good stead.
