Job summary

Catch is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee daily finance operations for shipments, including invoicing clients, processing supplier invoices, and cost management. The role requires close collaboration with finance teams, suppliers and clients via email and phone to ensure timely and professional communication.

Responsibilities include cash receipts, bank reconciliations, debtor management and payment processing, as well as handling shipments from a financial perspective.

Qualifications

• University Undergraduate Degree (BCom Accounting/Finance)
• Honours Degree Advantageous
• Excellent HighSchool Results (2-5 distinctions and >65% for Mathematics)

Job description

The financial controller is responsible for the daily financeoperations of all shipments allocated to them. This involves invoicing clients, processing invoices received from suppliers andoverall cost management and profit maximisation. The financeteam liaises with various shipping providers, suppliers andclients primarily over email and when required, over the phonein a timely and professional manner.

On a practical level, this role also involves:

• Receipt of cash and bank reconciliation
• Management of debtors and processing of payments
• Management of shipments from a finance perspective

The need exists for an additional team member to deal withthe number of new clients signed, thus resulting in an increasein volume of transactions. The financial controller will also beworking with other roles in the relevant business unit andfinance team.
