Job description

FMCG / Pharma concern has an opportunity for a SAIPA or CIMA or BCom Accounting candidate to take on the role of a Financial Controller / Senior Accountant.

Experience in dealing with multiple entities and knowledge of stock / inventory is highly advantageous.

SAIPA articles / registration is highly advantageous.

Minimum B Finance degree and 2 to 3 years post-article experience are highly advantageous.

Fluency in English and Afrikaans is required due to the business's clients.

Position Objective : Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements Supervise and coordinate financial activities Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends Regulate and administer all existing and future projects Develop financial management controls to minimize financial risks Manage stock costing Manage budgets and forecasts Consult with external auditors Oversee treasury functions Key Responsibilities : Reporting Balance daily sales numbers Prepare month-end results, ensuring accuracy and completeness Prepare internal reporting packs Prepare and review monthly management reporting requirements Prepare monthly variance analysis and commentary Prepare forecasts and budgets Reconciliations Review balance sheet reconciliations monthly for completeness and accuracy Review accounts payable, receivable, and payroll reconciliations monthly Tax, Statutory, and Audit Ensure adherence to all tax and statutory deadlines Prepare monthly tax computations Prepare and submit annual tax returns Manage company tax and statutory matters as required Safeguard assets, financial records, loan collateral, and securities Coordinate internal and external audits Manage insurance matters Working Capital Management Review daily cash position and manage working capital requirements Review and approve cashbook and accounts payable payments Submit weekly cash flow reports Manage accounts receivable and payable age analyses Oversee fixed asset management Ensure accurate stock costing Monitor monthly working capital targets Liaise with banks and financial institutions Processes and Procedures Identify and resolve problems quickly and develop internal controls to minimize risks Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all business cycles General Address ad hoc queries from clients, suppliers, and internal teams Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports as needed Conduct reviews for cost-reduction opportunities Note : Fluency in English and Afrikaans is required due to client interactions.

SAIPA articles or CIMA qualification is advantageous.

Previous experience in inventory costing, management, and manufacturing is highly advantageous.
