A leading property development company is seeking a Financial Controller in East London, South Africa. This role involves overseeing financial activities, developing policies, managing cash flow, and leading a team. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, with 2+ years in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to lead a medium-sized team (approx. 10 people).
  • Experience in Construction and Property finance is highly advantageous.

Job description

  • Oversee all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions to senior management
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management and the board of directors
  • Manage cash flow and ensure proper allocation of funds
  • Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions and key stakeholders
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasting
  • Oversee tax planning and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
  • Collaborate with other departments to offer financial guidance for informed decision-making
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field
