About the Role

The Financial Capability Worker (FCW) supports Aboriginal people in engaging with Lutheran Care's programs and accessing financial wellbeing services. This includes:

  • Providing on-ground support to help people understand financial concepts.
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of budgeting and financial literacy sessions.
  • Ensuring communication is culturally sensitive.
Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Capability & Emergency Relief Services: Provide one-on-one financial capability support, conduct non-accredited workshops, deliver emergency relief services, engage positively with Aboriginal people, and participate in remote travel to communities.
  • Referrals, Networking, and Advocacy: Develop relationships with internal and external services, make appropriate referrals, engage in local partnerships, and record keeping.
  • Record Keeping: Collect and store accurate information, complete case notes and reports.
  • Professional Development: Attend training and obtain necessary qualifications.
