Position: Financial Analyst – Financial Business Support
Location: Pennington, NJ
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 remote)
Training: Onsite for all 5 days during initial training period
Contract Duration: 7 months (ASAP Start)
Pay Rate: $24.00 hourly, paid weekly.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Cost Basis Team. This role plays a critical part in supporting accurate tax reporting by processing standard financial transactions and updating cost basis records. You'll provide operational support to both internal business partners and external clients, helping ensure regulatory compliance and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process routine transactions in accordance with established procedures (e.g., data entry, trade processing, payment handling, report , account maintenance).
  • Respond to and resolve inquiries from branches and clients regarding cost basis updates, received via New Service Gateway and email.
  • Research and manually update incorrect cost basis records in the Global Tax Lots system.
  • Support accurate IRS reporting of covered securities and tax lots.
  • Assist and advise less experienced team members, when needed.
  • Escalate complex issues to Operations Team Manager or Supervisor.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Basic understanding of financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when working with financial data and records.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with financial statements and cost basis data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Professional, adaptable, and collaborative in a fast-paced setting.
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak periods, especially tax season (January – April).
  • 1+ year of experience in a similar financial or operational support role .

Working Conditions:

  • May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
  • The ability to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Use of computers and technology.
