Job Title: Financial Analyst
Type: Full-time, Independent Contractor
Location: Remote
Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, US Eastern Time

About the role
We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join its team during a critical growth phase. Following a recent acquisition and in preparation for a Series B raise, the business requires a highly capable analyst to support increased financial reporting and modeling demands.

This role is hands-on and execution-focused - ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands American financial standards, and can build and manage robust financial models independently.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain three-statement financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Produce ad hoc financial analyses and dashboards for strategic decision-making
• Support monthly/quarterly reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist with fundraising preparation: data room support, investor materials, and financial narratives
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide accurate financial data and insights
• Interpret and analyze U.S.-based financial statements and related documentation

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, financial analysis, or similar roles
• Demonstrated ability to build detailed, dynamic financial models
• Strong understanding of GAAP and American financial principles
• Highly proficient in Excel and financial modeling tools (e.g., Google Sheets, financial software)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter who can operate independently in a fast-moving, startup environment
• Experience with reporting for VC-backed companies or two-sided marketplaces is a plus
