Overview

PBT Group has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst. The individual will be responsible for the creation of the One Stream collector forms. The role requires a background in technical accounting, data governance and data analysis. The person should be analytical, have a good problem-solving aptitude, accountable for driving delivery and collaborate with others to meet deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to data governance and data quality initiatives.
• Understand data security, data retention, data quality and data migration methodology.
• Implement a data migration plan (HFM to One Stream).
• Contribute to data analysis and design of the One Stream collector forms.
• Apply technical accounting knowledge.
• Maintain an advanced understanding of IFRS statements.
• Experience in a financial services industry.
• Understand Meta and Master accounting data.
• Prepare IFRS annual financial statements.
• Provide reporting support.
• Support IT developers and business stakeholders regarding the build and delivery of the new One Stream Consolidated Chart of Accounts.
• Implement changes to the supplementary disclosures within the One Stream Consolidated Chart of Accounts.
• Maintain personal effectiveness and accountability for service delivery through own efforts.
• Manage own time, tasks and output quality over periods from 1 day to a maximum of three months.
• Broaden individual skills to increase contributions.
• Collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals.
• Work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Gain business and system knowledge and stay abreast of new developments.

Skills and Experience Required

• Com. Finance / Accounting Honours
• Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum 3 years’ post-article experience
• IFRS experience in the Financial Services sector
• Experience in producing consolidated Annual Financial Statements for a financial services company
• Experience with Oracle Smart View / HFM Web Form / One Stream Web Form
• Knowledge and understanding of data analysis and data solution design
• Knowledge and understanding of databases and master data
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
• Business intelligence exposure
• Knowledge and understanding of data analysis and data solution design (duplicate listing kept to preserve content)

Qualifications / Certification

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum 3 years’ post-article experience
