Job Description

Purpose of the Job:

The key purpose of this role is to provide professional financial services to clients or members. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, retaining, and growing a membership and client base for eligible professionals by implementing PPS financial solutions tailored to their needs.

Scope Of The Job

This is a commission-based role involving holistic financial planning, advice, and sales in risk insurance (ideally 70%), savings and investments, as well as wills, tax, and estate planning. The ideal candidate is an experienced, target-driven financial planner, familiar with servicing the degreed professional market, holding at least a 4-year or higher qualification, which is PPS's niche market.

It is a tied agency role with own lead generation. We offer a competitive risk commission structure ranging from 55% to 100%, with performance-based mobility up the risk commission splits. The position is commission-only from month 13.

Work tools such as a laptop, headset, and 3G card are provided. The position allows remote work within the province of Mpumalanga, pending a PPS provincial office, with a monthly home-office allowance.

Requirements

Formal Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Relevant NQF level 6 tertiary qualification (preferable)
  • FAIS recognized NQF level 7 or above qualification (highly advantageous)
  • RE 5 completed
  • Successful completion of supervisory process
  • FAIS fit and proper
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (advantageous)
  • CFP (advantageous)

Experience and Knowledge

  • At least 3 years’ experience in financial services sales, particularly in risk and investment spaces
  • 2 years' financial planning experience
  • Understanding of the professional client market dynamics
  • Proven track record in high-performance sales environments
  • Knowledge of best practices in financial planning and advisory services
  • Experience in client engagement and financial planning
  • Experience in lead generation and prospecting

Computer Literacy

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience with CRM systems (preferable)
