Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in long-term insurance, ideally as Financial Advisor or Financial Planner.
• FAIS-compliant qualifications with at least 120 FAIS credits.
• RE5 certificate is required.
• CPD hours maintained and regulatory compliance observed.
• Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships and identify financial needs.
• Knowledge of life, disability, severe illness and retirement planning.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Ability to work independently in a commission-based environment.
• Strong administrative skills for accurate client records and regulatory documentation.

Job description

This is a full-time Financial Advisor role, offered on a commission-based structure. The position is hybrid, based in Durban, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week.

The Financial Advisor will maintain ongoing relationships through regular reviews, monitor market trends and product developments, and ensure all recommendations comply with regulatory and ethical standards.

The role also involves building a client base, following up on leads, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams or partners as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the long-term insurance industry, ideally in a Financial Advisor or Financial Planner role.


• Relevant FAIS-compliant qualifications and a minimum of 120 FAIS credits.


• Valid RE5 certificate.


• Up-to-date Continuous Professional Development (CPD) hours and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.


• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, identify financial needs, and recommend suitable financial solutions.


• Good understanding of long-term insurance products, including life cover, disability cover, severe illness cover, and retirement planning.


• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
