Introduction

Job Summary: Focus is on general accounting & basic bookkeeping of the companies that fall under the Fastway Franchise Support Office.

Main Purpose of Role: The primary responsibilities will be basic bookkeeping to trial balance; processing and reconciling of cashbooks; generating customer schedules and invoices; processing and reconciling supplier invoices and payments; supporting the Financial Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Processing and reconciling of cashbooks.
  2. Generate customer schedules and invoices, maintain aging and credit control.
  3. Process supplier invoices, reconciliations and payments, and maintain aging.
  4. Keep Supplier and Customer agings clean.
  5. Processing of month-end journals.
  6. Liaise with insurance company regarding claim submissions and adding new items to the various policies.
  7. Assist with compiling and maintaining various daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  8. Prepare and submit VAT Returns – VAT.
  9. Assisting with ad-hoc projects for the Finance Department.
  10. General Ledger reconciliations.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Matric.
  2. Relevant tertiary qualification.
  3. 1-3 years experience in Finance / Accounts.
