EdUpStairs is seeking a Financial Accountant with a National Diploma in Financial Accounting and a preferred Bachelor’s degree. The role requires at least 3 years of financial accounting experience and working knowledge of Public Service transversal systems such as PERSAL, BAS and Logis.

You will supervise accounting transactions, review entries, and ensure timely supplier payments while maintaining internal controls and delivering monthly financial reports to stakeholders.

Qualificações

• National Diploma in Financial Accounting as recognized by SAQA.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Accounting / Accounting Science would be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Financial Accounting.
• 3 years' working knowledge of transversal systems applicable to the Public Service.
• Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Modified Cash Standards, and Standard Charts of Accounts.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and allocate invoices and incentive claims (payment).
• Review and verify accounting entries, invoices/incentive claims, receipts, and payment documents (internal control).
• Verify processing of payments.
• Supervise and ensure proper filing and safeguarding of accounting documents.
• Supervise and monitor collection and management of cash.
• Ensure timely processing of supplier payments and departmental revenue pay overs.
• Supervise and perform bookkeeping support services.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for internal/external stakeholders.
