The Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting decision-making through financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Ensure adherence to tax laws, accounting standards (GAAP / IFRS), and other financial regulations.
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Prepare and review tax returns, VAT reports, and other tax-related filings.
Analyze costs and financial data to provide insights for business improvement.
Oversee invoicing, payments, and collections.
Identify areas for financial efficiency and implement improvements.
Liaise with management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred).
3 – 5 years of experience in the field
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
Strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
Accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
Ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
