Financial Accountant
South African company specialising in the design, manufacturing, and supply of equipment, systems, and solutions for the mining and mineral processing industries is looking for a Financial Accountant to record, report and analyse company financial transactions and cost structures, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Accounts receivable management - reconciliations, reporting, credit limits, debt collection and cash collection forecasting
2. Creditor reconciliations and bank payments review
3. Budgeting and forecasting - sales, cost, profit margins, cash flows and variance analysis
4. Project accounting - billable hours, cost monitoring and recovery analysis
5. Financial risk assessment and communication to relevant stakeholders
6. Cost control and sales analysis - monitoring major costs, sales performance and profit margin analysis
7. Financial reporting - real-time cost, performance dashboards and monthly management reporting
8. Compliance with ISO processes and company procedures - reviewing, updating, and developing financial policies and procedures to ensure regulatory and legal compliance
9. Risk management and insurance - review insurance agreements, monitor business transactions and claim liability
10. Management of inter-company transactions and balances
11. Manage and oversee audit processes
12. Review and analysis of new systems, including participation in system development and implementation

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CIMA preferred)
2. Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a financial accounting role in engineering / construction or manufacturing
3. IFRS knowledge
4. Proven track record with managing ERP systems such as SAP / BAAN
5. Experience with Power BI and advanced MS Excel
