Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the Port Elizabeth team on a contract basis
• Develop and implement cost accounting systems and procedures.
• Analyze and report on product and operational costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into cost drivers.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Provide financial insights to enhance decision-making on pricing, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with production, supply chain, and procurement teams to improve cost efficiencies.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including cost trends and margin analysis.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits with relevant cost-related documentation.

Requirements
• CA (SA)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a costing or financial analysis role.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or a related industry would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, activity-based costing, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
• Familiarity with IFRS and local tax regulations.
