Financial Accountant

As a Financial Accountant, you will play an integral part in controlling the day-to-day operations and activities of the finance department.

This role ensures that the business remains in good financial health by actively managing the working capital process and executing financial activities that ensure our financial data is up to date, precise, and in accordance with the regulatory frameworks.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Cashbook processing and bank reconciliations.
2. Manage and oversee the full Accounts Payable function.
3. Manage and oversee the full Accounts Receivable function.
4. Billing, Debtors, Internal and External Queries, etc.
5. Inventory Management.
6. Preparation and analysis of financial reports and management accounts.
7. Manage the month-end and financial year-end processes.
8. Assist with audits.
9. VAT computation and submissions.
10. Implementation and management of internal controls.
11. Assisting the CEO and Head of Finance with budgeting, cash-flow management and planning, and other strategic financial objectives.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
2. 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
3. Previous experience in performing and overseeing AR and AP.
4. Experience with overseeing and managing junior accounts staff.
5. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software, preferably Sage Evolution or Business Central.
6. Excellent understanding and application of accounting rules and procedures.
7. Analytical with meticulous attention to detail.
8. High level of professionalism and ability to be assertive.
9. Ability to work both independently and in a team.
