Job Title : Financial Reporting Specialist

Responsible for accurate financial reporting on a monthly and annual basis for group companies.

This includes compiling financial statements, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing tax and VAT returns, engaging with auditors, providing support during interim and final audits, analyzing financial information, and assisting on various projects as directed.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Responsible for financial reporting including:

• Preparation and presentation of balance sheet reconciliations and other financial reconciliations for group companies.
• Preparation of deliverables required for the interim and annual internal and external audits.
• Submission and completion of annual financial statements and statutory returns to SARS for the group.
• Preparation and presentation of monthly balance sheet management pack to management.
• Preparing schedules and financial information analysis as required.
• Preparation of annual financial statements for group companies using CaseWare.

General

• Support and assistance with team projects and initiatives.
• Stock taking procedures when required.
• Participation in team events.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Understanding of audit techniques.
• Ability to analyze and identify problems in work processes.
• Knowledge of banking platforms.
• Excel experience.
• CaseWare experience required.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Sound knowledge of Income Tax and VAT Act.
• Knowledge of IFRS and accounting reporting standards.
