JOB REQUIREMENTS
  1. Professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA)
  2. 3+ years working experience as a Financial Accountant
  3. MS Office Suite (Advanced level in Excel - Pivots, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs etc)
  4. Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems (Syspro is preferred)
  5. Strong interpersonal skills
  6. Strong administrative skills
  7. Good communication skills
  8. Good time management skills
  9. Friendly yet assertive personality
  10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  11. Attention to detail with a flair for accuracy
  12. Ability to take ownership of tasks
  13. Experience with both IFRS and IFRS for SMEs will be advantageous

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  2. Conduct monthly and yearly financial close activities and reconciliations.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  4. Review supplier reconciliations and payments prior to release.
  5. Forex payment processing via current bank account.
  6. Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  7. Assist with audits and other financial assessments as required.
  8. Create and maintain spreadsheets and/or databases to record, monitor, and compile information.
  9. Preparation and submission of statutory returns (e.g., VAT201, EMP201).
  10. General admin duties associated with the position.
  11. Adhere to all deadlines set by management.
  12. Assist with cash flow management.
