A fantastic opportunity is available for a qualified CA(SA) as a Financial Accountant: Consolidation to drive IFRS-compliant consolidated reporting for a prominent South African investment holding company. This role requires you to be deadline-driven, able to work under pressure, have an analytical mindset, and be a tech-savvy power user. Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the preparation of annual & interim consolidated financial statements
2. Liaise with investee companies
3. Assess corporate transactions and contracts
4. Manage equity accounting of associates and joint ventures
5. Prepare various consolidated disclosure notes
6. Liaise with external auditors to obtain sign-off on work performed
7. Review financial statements of the group's investee companies
8. Review the entity financial statements of the group's subsidiary companies
9. Assist with the preparation of iXBRL submissions to the CIPC
10. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting information systems
11. Prepare reports and presentations for board meetings
12. Manage and approve payments daily
13. Manage quarterly completion of South African Reserve Bank forms
14. Assist the Financial Manager with financial administrative tasks
15. Assist with various ad hoc projects

Requirements:

• Between 2 and 5 years post-article experience
• Exposure to complex consolidation activities during or post-articles is essential
• Must be up-to-date with current IFRS and Companies Act developments
