FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – FRUIT INDUSTRY – SOMERSET WEST

STATUTORY FINANCIAL DUTIES:

1. Posting of monthly creditor invoices
2. Assist the Financial Managers with Month End procedures.
3. Assist the Financial Managers with Monthly and Annual Audit Recon (Debtors/Creditors/Bank)
4. Submit VAT returns.
5. Record keeping of daily outlays, income and expenses.
6. Import of operational system to Pastel.
7. Debit and Credit Card expense summaries and recon.
8. CFC bank account transaction recording and recon.
9. LC (Bangladesh) Summaries.

OPERATIONAL FINANCIAL DUTIES:

Assist the Financial Assistants with the following duties where necessary:

1. Daily invoicing to the foreign clients based on info from the Sales Team.
2. Sending invoices to the Logistics Company as well as the client
3. Printing and allocation of “dealsheet” on the system
4. Sending outlay spreadsheet to the producers so that they can generate their invoice.
5. Allocating freight costs from the Shipping Lines to the relevant outlays.
6. Generating weekly producer payment advice for payments to producers
7. Sending weekly payment advice + proof of payment to producers.
8. Allocation of payments on QX (operational system) against the relevant debtor.
9. Following up on outstanding balances with Debtors.

AD HOC DUTIES:

1. Daily / Weekly filing of paperwork.
2. Financial Ad Hoc tasks as requested by management.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

BCom/Accounting Degree with minimum 3 years experience.
