Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant that will be responsible for costing, reporting, consolidations, and tax compliance, while also making improvements in systems and processes.

Main job function

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee general ledger and ensure timely month-end closures
• Perform detailed costing and variance analysis across operations
• Prepare management reports and consolidated financial packs
• Drive budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Support and coordinate audit processes
• Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation
• Work cross-functionally to integrate systems and streamline processes
• Inventory management, audit, and control
• Monitor and implement internal controls
• Develop cash flow system

Qualifications

BCom Degree in Accounting/Finance (CIMA or CA advantageous but not essential)

Experience/Criteria

• Minimum 5 years accounting experience
• Advanced Excel and Sage (or equivalent ERP) capability
• Proven record of accomplishment in costing and reporting
• Clear understanding of tax compliance requirements
• Strong references demonstrating maturity and work ethic
• Logistics and/or Supply Chain Industry experience will be advantageous

Salary

R40 – R50,000 CTC pm
